Khalsa Panth

Waheguru ji ka Khalsa]
Waheguru ji ki Fateh.

Aap Sab Sangat nu Khalsa ji de Parkash diwas di lakh lakh vadhai hove ji.

Khalsa ji, On Vaisakhi day in year 1699, Guru Gobind Singh ji Maharaj created ''Khalsa Panth- Brotherhood of The Pure''.
Those were the minds purified by Baani of Ten Gurus, with essence of True Naam and Love of Waheguru in them. The Minds, The hearts which were blessed by Lord Waheguru ji with all his qualities and mercy through True Guru,Guru Gobind Singh ji. They were the ones who had become one with Infinite lord, They were the ones who were given the Title of Khalsa that day.

Baani of Guru Granth Sahib ji defines Khalsa as the one who ''Knows how to Love God'. And to find out whether we know something or not,we have to pass a Test.
Guru Nanak dev ji defines the rules for test of Love as -

The Gursikhs who passed this test, where one needs to hold his head on his palm on path of Lord, were given the Title of Piare (beloved ones) that day.
Death has fallen on the whole world; the doubting religious scholars are also listed on the Register of Death.
Says Kabeer, those humble people become pure - they become Khalsa - who know the Lord's loving devotional worship. ||4||3||

Guruji tested his Sikhi that day, and Sikhi passed with flying colours. There were Masands and cowards also present that day, who ran away after seeing the Flash of Guruji's sword, but Blessed ones remained seated, kept getting up one by one to sacrifice their self at the feet of their Beloved master. It was a sign for times to come, that Khalsa shall forever be tested by Sword, and cowards and manmukhs will run away, but the Faithful, the dedicated, those who love Guru will remain firm and stay with Guru, for Guru. They will live for Guru and Die for Guru. No matter what comes their way. And only they were entitled to be Khalse.

After the test, Guruji dressed his Five beloved ones in the Baana he was wearing himself that day- The Neela baana ( Akali bana). Blue is the colour which symbolizes Infinity, Bravery,Spirit of Oneness. Its the colour of Oceans and Skies. Its the Colour of Immortality, and the Immortals (Akalis) wore that colour that day,and will wear forever. After getting Bir-Asan, Guruji read Five Baanis of Japji, Jaap, Sawaiye, Chaupai and Anand and prepared Holy Amrit.
Japji symbolizes Bhagti
Jaap for Shakti
Sawaiye for Vairaag
Chaupai for Nimarta(humility)

Khanda beholds Quality of Khalsa - To protect the poor and destroy Evil.
